The copy deadline for all advertisements and editorial features is the 15th of the month of publication. It cannot be guaranteed that copy received after this date will be included in the requested publication, although everything will be done to accommodate late requests. All adverts and editorial will be proofed prior to publication. It is your responsibility to ensure that any copy proofed and given the approval (either verbally, by email, or written) is accurate, legal and copyright free. Village Link take no responsibility for loss or damage resulting from an advert being incorrect, having been proofed and approved by you.
Copy can be supplied in any of the following formats: JPEG, press ready PDF (300dpi or above). Quality cannot be guaranteed in the event of a customer supplying their own advert, although every attempt will be made to ensure the highest standards of quality are achieved.
The Village Link makes no guarantee that advertising will be successful. For the best chance of success, it is recommended that advertising is booked for three or more issues. It is a proven theory that repetition brings familiarity.
INVOICES AND PAYMENT
Payment for all adverts is strictly upon order. Please have your card details to hand when placing an order. Once payment has been made, you will receive an Invoice and Receipt by return. We do not offer any credit facilities. Due to regular paper price increases, advertising rates may go up. We will endeavour to contact you before any changes are made.
Advertising space should be cancelled by the 5th of the month preceding publication. Late cancellation or cancellation of a prebooked run of advertising in general will result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the total value of the booking being levied on The Client.
CHANGES TO TERMS
The Company, at all times, reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions set out herein this document without prior written notice to any of its Clients and any subsequent changes will become applicable immediately. No claims will be entered into which may not have been applicable in previous revisions of this document which are subsequently made provision for. Any claims by any client will only be acceptable on grounds outside the current revision of this document.
Only one entry is permitted per person per competition. Village Link reserves the right to reject any competition/draw entry. All prizes must be accepted as offered. There can be no alternative awards, cash or otherwise. In the event that a prize is not available for whatever reason, Village Link reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, delayed or damaged. No correspondence can be entered into and no entry can be returned. The decision of the Directors is final. If space allows and it is relevant to the competition, the results of competitions will be published in the Village Link, the internet and/or any other publication the companies deem fit. While every reasonable effort is made to ensure all prize details are correct at the time of going to press, Village Link cannot be held responsible for incorrect details provided by sponsors. Where competitions are designed for children the Village Link may reject entries from persons over the age of 16. Entries received from persons under the age of 16 will be deemed to have received parental or guardian permission. Village Link will make reasonable efforts to notify prize winners by letter, telephone, e-mail or any combination thereof prior to general publication. Village Link Magazines Limited is not bound to publish the names of winners (that are not contactable), in the expectation that winners may themselves make contact. In the event that the prize has not been awarded within 12 calendar weeks of the closing/draw date then the prize will be withdrawn. At the sole discretion of the Directors a new winner may be selected. The deadline for any competition will always be the 20th of the month prior to the next issue, unless otherwise stated (ie: July/Aug issue - entry deadline would 20th Aug). Where's Bear Competition - To make it fair for all, Bear will NOT be hiding during the first week of the current Issue. (This will ensure that everyone has taken delivery of a magazine). Only children under the age of 16 can rescue bear and receive the £25 cash prize and you must live in the distribution area of Village Link. The prize can only be claimed twice by the same child in a calendar year. Concert Tickets - The winning entry will be selected at random in a draw. The prize is for the tickets only and does not include transport, accommodation or any additional costs. The winner must adhere to the terms and conditions of the tickets and venue. The prize is non-transferable, non exchangeable and no cash alternative will be offered.
